  22. 1) Fort George, on a bluff overlooking the ocean was built by the British in 1779 to defend the island from foreign powers; rusted cannons still stand guard. 2) Buccoo Reef, renown for its crystal clear snorkeling, is a short boat ride from either Pigeon Point or Store Bay. Boats readily available.

  28. This is Tobago's best-known beach, popular with locals and tourists alike. It is always well used and features thatched shelters as changerooms.

  31. Picnics along this beach are very popular with locals and those tourists in the know. And since Pigeon Point is so close to populated areas, it is always busy and at times can get overcrowded. Hectic, yes, but a fun crowd.
